TourismSafety App app for iPhone and iPad

Tourism Safety Initiative (TSI) is a tourism safety information portal and trade support programme. The TSI coordinates support for crime victims in the tourism industry including emergency services, incident reporting, trauma counseling and logistical support for travellers.

Mission:

• To facilitate collaboration for the purposes of information gathering, reporting and the coordination of emergency support through a central platform.
• To establish a 24/7/365 crisis and emergency support for business and individual tourists.
• To facilitate crisis management and communication in the travel and tourism private sector;
• To guide and empower tourists and the tourism private sector to manage crisis situations through communication and training.
• To lobby for resources and ensure meaningful engagement with law enforcement agencies and other role-players in the public sector in the identification of patterns, trends and with crime prevention strategies.
